• ok. so usually i dont worry about this sort of thing but with the number of people getting suckered into these scams http://www.macintouch.com/readerreports/fraudreports/topic3810.html

 common sense to most, but this information needs to be out there. 

•  Any company that requires you to pay in a way that is untraceable is
  scamming somebody -- either you, or the person they got the merchandise
  from.

• Don't send cash through the mail (DHL, UPS, etc.).

• Don't send money via western union to someone you don't know personally.

• Don't send money via a bank wire ("bank-to-bank transfer") to someone you don't know personally 

• Don't use an escrow service recommended by the seller.

• Don't click on a link from inside an ebay/paypal email that appears to have came from a FAKE source.
